Early this morning, I came across a blog post by a fellow blogger discussing her gratitude journal, and how she writes in it daily. It reminded me that I have not scribbled in my gratitude journal for over one month. While, I am still writing down my thoughts and plans daily, I have fallen off when it comes to my Gratitude Journal.
Initially I fell behind by a few days, then I found myself trying to make up past date journal entries. Which didn't seem to help me become reengaged with my daily affirmations. Then I realized that everyone always sets out for a goal and oftentimes are met with a distraction that takes us away from the goal. Once we are distracted, it becomes impossible to get back on track.
Getting back on track becomes impossible because we become stuck in the past, harping over the days we lost. The best way to get back on track is to just start today as if you were never distracted. Whether it is starting a new business or losing weight, stop worrying about the time lost and focus on executing the plan from today. There will be many distractions but don't get discouraged by a detour.
